      Hepatitis B is primarily transmitted through bodily fluids like blood or semen, often during sex or through contaminated needles and medical equipment. Unlike hepatitis A, it is not typically spread through water. Hepatitis B can cause serious liver complications and is potentially fatal.

      The virus is prevalent worldwide, with higher exposure risks in regions such as Eastern Europe, Russia, India, China, South and Central America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and many islands in the South Pacific.

      Vaccination involves a course of three injections, administered either rapidly over one month or standardly over six months.
